BIG READERS: On March 27, the Middle School Battle of the Books team from Northeast Elementary competed in the Region 1 Battle of the Books Competition against eight eastern North Carolina school districts. Northeast came in second, which was just seven points behind the winners from Martin County. Pitt County came in third place.
