Mrs. Mildred C. Renn, 90, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Red Oak Manor.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 PM in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.

Mrs. Renn was born and raised in Richmond, VA.  She moved to Greenville with her husband in 1949.  In 1957, she moved to Washington following her husband’s work, where she resided until 2012, when she moved to Red Oak Manor.  Mrs. Renn was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Chocowinity.  She was an avid reader as long as she was able to see, and afterwards enjoyed many books on tape.

Mrs. Renn was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Renn and grandson, William Marshall Renn.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Renn of Greenville and Wayne Renn and wife, Cindy, of Aurora; granddaughters, Courtney Renn of Atlanta, GA, and Elizabeth Renn Harr and husband, Joshua, of Kinston; great-grandchildren, Madison Ann Harr and Alexander Jordan Harr; and daughter-in-law, Becky Renn, of Greenville.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
