Republican primary town hall in Plymouth

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce will present with Al-Pam Republican Club sponsorship, a candidate town hall Thursday at the Roanoke River Maritime Museum in Plymouth. Open to the public, the two Republican candidates in the May 6, 2014, primary Election will speak and then answer audience questions.
The candidates are Ashley Woolard of Beaufort County and Mattie Lawson of Dare County, both running for the Republican nomination for North Carolina’s House District 6.
Moderators for the town hall will be Russ Lay, political science professor at the College of the Albemarle and writer for the Outer Banks Voice, and Harvey West Jr., Al-Pam vice president. They will ask questions submitted by the audience to candidates.
The town hall meeting starts at 6 p.m. for about one hour and will be followed by a time for all to meet the candidates over refreshments.
