Edward Fredrick Hutton

May 31, 1928 – April 8, 2014

 

Edward Fredrick Hutton, age 85, a resident of E. 3rd St., Washington, NC passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Veterans Hospital in Durham, NC. There will be a celebration of his life in the community room of East Haven Apartments at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 officiated by Bartow Houston and Skybo Langley.

Edward was born May 31, 1928 in Choteau, MT and raised in New York. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 16 years in both WWII and Korea. Edward received the WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and United Nations Service Medal. He was a member of the 3rd Infantry Division and the 11th Airborne. Edward was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge and the Society of the 3rd Infantry Division. He worked for Eastern Optical for nearly 20 years.
