From Beaufort County Schools

The necessary paperwork for those wishing to transfer students in or out Beaufort County Schools is now available on the district website. You can click the icon on the homepage to print the form.

“All properly submitted paperwork will be reviewed and approved or declined at the monthly board of education meeting,” explained Dr. Don Phipps, Superintendent of Beaufort County Schools. “Due to capacity issues, we can tell you that all schools in the Washington attendance area – with the one exception of John Small Elementary School – and Chocowinity Middle School have already been closed for new transfers for the coming school year.” This does not include students already enrolled in these schools. “Other schools may close to new transfers before the summer is over,” added Phipps.

As always, first priority will be given to transfer requests from Beaufort County residents.

The single form replaces the multiple forms used in years past. To access this form, visit www.beaufort.k12.nc.us.
