The purpose of the Pinetown Heritage Society is to preserve the history and significance of this once-booming Beaufort County town. Erecting a historic highway marker in honor of the Tow’s found, Surry Parker, is the first project of the group. Jimmy and Tommy’s childhood home had once been the office for Surry Parker in Pinetown. Donations to support the costs of erecting the marker can be made to: Pinetown Heritage Society, c/o Mrs. Lois Biggs Tetterton, 6390 North Boyd Road, Pinetown, NC 27865.
