PotashCorp-Aurora will sponsor an open house at Camp Boddie, part of the East Carolina Scout Reservation, on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The camp is located twelve minutes from Chocowinity at 419 Camp Bonner Scout Camp Road, Blounts Creek, just off Mouth of the Creek Road. The 900-acre camp overlooks Blounts Bay and has 1.3 miles of waterfront. The purpose of the open house is to give the entire community an opportunity to enjoy the resources, facilities and programs located in East Carolina Scout Reservation. Activities offered include biking, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, BB Gun and archery. Many activities will be happening in the PotashCorp ECO Lodge, including nature trail walks, crafts and sessions. All of the activities are free. Participants must wear closed-toed shoes. If you are participating in water activities, bring shoes you do not mind getting wet. Children under 17 years of age must attend with a parent. The camp trading post will also be open.

During the day PotashCorp-Aurora will present a financial gift of support for the operation of the PotashCorp ECO Lodge to East Carolina Council, BSA. For more information call the Perry Family Scout Service Center at 252-522-1521.
