Paint the Town Pink Storefront Contest

PAM SHADLE | CONTRIBUTED PAINT THE TOWN PINK: Friday, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, local businesses participated in a storefront-decorating contest. First Citizens Banks emerged victorious as its storefront and lobby was a sea of pink. In addition, the staff donated money to the cause to be able to wear jeans with their Paint the Town Pink shirts. They also incorporated their customers into the décor as they honored local cancer survivors with pink paper ribbons on the storefront. Eastern Radiologists, Vidant Beaufort Hospital the Marion L. Shephard Cancer Center and the Shepard Cancer Foundation said they appreciate the community’s support of this annual breast cancer awareness event that raises money for the Foundation. Pictured is staff from First Citizens Bank. Also pictured, is Raquel Ramirez De Espinoza, an employee of Washington Quick Lube who painted its storefront for the contest.
