To the Editor:
I’m writing on behalf of the Coastal Carolina Ford Club. Our club would like to acknowledge the support we’ve received at our Hardees Cruise-Ins from the community. Our monthly cruise-ins provide people in the area a chance to gather up and enjoy not just the hot rods, but burgers and milk shakes and fellowship.
In addition, our 50/50 raffles provide the club with the means to support those in need in Beaufort County. In the past two years, our club has helped victims of natural disasters and serious medical issues. We recently began a scholarship program with Beaufort County Community College.
But we would not be able to reach our goals without the support of those in our community. We typically see close to 100 cars at the Hardees Cruise-Ins — which shows we’re doing something right.
We invite everyone who has not experienced a cruise-in to join us Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. at Hardees U.S. Highway 264 West. Come experience how it was “back in the day,” with people talking to each other and enjoying great oldies and a taste of American car culture.
