WILLIAM DUNN SWANNER

William “Bill” Dunn Swanner, passed away, Monday, October 13, 2014.  Bill Swanner was born September 9, 1936 to William and Agynes Swanner in Washington, N.C.  He was a member of Christian Church of Panama City.  Mr. Swanner retired CMSGT, United States Air Force after thirty-two years of service.  He volunteered with the Red Cross and was a member of Moose Lodge #1389 in Panama City, FL. Mr. Swanner was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Swanner; parents, William C. and Agynes L. Swanner; and brother-in-law, Frank Woodard.  He is survived by his son, Michael Swanner and partner, Larry Vaughn of Topeka, KS; two daughters: Laura Barnes and husband Steve of Callaway and Linda Kolmetz and husband Tim of Bay County; brother, Jackie Swanner of Washington, N.C.; sister, Shirley Woodard of Washington, N.C.; two grandchildren: Trey Kolmetz and Jerry Barnes and wife Bethany; and two great grandchildren: Serenity and Allura Barnes. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 at Christian Church at Panama City with Pastor Billy Babbino officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home on Thursday evening, October 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted atwww.southerlandfamily.com.
