SWAN QUARTER — The 2014 Down East Craft Show will be held on Saturday, October 25 in Swan Quarter at the Hyde County Courthouse City lobby and parking deck. Hours for this annual event are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Craft Show is presented by the Hyde County Arts Group.

This year will mark the ninth consecutive year for the craft show. According to show organizer Elizabeth Gurganus, the event has grown consistently each year in participation and attendance. This year’s event will include many crafters and artisans who are new to the show.

Regional artists and craftspeople from the Outer Banks to the mainland will be showcasing work original in concept and design. Unique gifts and one-of-a-kind creations will be available for shoppers interested in finding that special present for any occasion.

In addition to the new location for this year’s event, live music will be provided throughout the day. The Swan Quarter Fire Department will be on hand beginning at 11 a.m. selling food during the event.

For more information about the show, or to participate as a vendor, contact Elizabeth Gurganus at 252-926-8461 days or 252-945-0748 nights and weekends.

The Fall Arts & Craft Show is presented with support from Hyde County Government, Tideland EMC, and the North Carolina Arts Council. The Hyde County Arts Group receives administrative support from the Beaufort County Arts Council.
