MARY WELLS PRICE

April 19, 1939 – Oct. 16, 2014

 

Mary Wells Price of Williamston, N.C. passed away October 16, 2014 in her home after
a 9-year fight against the cancer, Multiple Myeloma.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Knox officiating. Entombment will follow in Price Family Cemetery.

She was born April 19, 1939 in Houston County, Ala. to Pearl Shelley Wells and
Haywood M. Wells.

She was married on October 4, 1944 in Columbus, Ga. to Johnnie S. Price of
Williamston, N.C. They lived in several countries and several states while her husband Master
Sergeant Price completed 21 years of military service in the Army. In July 1973
upon his retirement they moved to Williamston, N.C. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Williamston.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie of their home, daughter Donna P. Gray
and husband John of Plymouth, N.C., son David S. Price and wife Annette of
Williamston, five grandsons, Wes Gray and wife Cecilia of Knightdale, N.C., Jim
Gray and wife Heather of Mackeys, N.C., Josh Price and Nathan Price of
Greenville, N.C., Cameron Price of Williamston and one granddaughter Alexis
Price of Williamston. Also one sister Sue Floyd and husband Benny of Columbus,
Ga., one brother Billy Wells and wife Myrna of Phoenix City, Ala. and several
nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents and sister Bobbie
Wells Davis and her husband Gene, sister-in-law Glenda Mills Wells and niece
Wende Wells Kidd.

The family will receive friends at the Liberty Baptist church on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM, and other times at the home.
