Beaufort County Traditional Music Association and the Beaufort County Arts Council cooperatively present an Encore Performance to complete the Pamlico Opry on Saturday night at the Turnage Theater. Pacific Northwest musicians Ben & Joe and Hutch & Scuff will perform a variety of ragtime and country blues tunes.

The Rollin’ Columbia Ragtime Review is touring this fall from Arizona, to New Orleans, Little Washington and back home to Oregon. These musicians from the Pacific Northwest play a variety of traditional American music with energy and humor.

Ben Hunter and Joe Seamons are a duo who have performed at the Port Townsend Acoustic Blues Festival in Washington State and play mainly fiddle and banjo.  Dom Flemons (formerly of the Carolina Chocolate Drops) caught their act and invited them to North Carolina to form a new trio.  They play an exciting mixture of blues, ragtime, folksongs and fiddle tunes.

Hutch and Scuff performed to an enthusiastic audience in May at the BCTMA’s 2014 Spring Tar Landing Jam in Bath. This duo plays a variety of traditional country blues and rags and are touring, teaching and performing throughout the United States. Their exciting style features mainly guitar, mandolin and washboard.

The show starts at 8:00. Tickets are $10 and children 12 and under are admitted for $5. Tickets are available at the Turnage Theater Box Office, 252-946-2504.

This is an encore performance of the six-show 2014 Pamlico Opry Series.  The goals of the series are to provide affordable family entertainment, to showcase local and regional talent, and celebrate community grassroots performances at the Turnage Theater. For more information, please visit
