Club News: Washington (Evening) Rotary

WASHINGTON EVENING ROTARY_WEBThe Washington Rotary Club met Thursday night at the Washington Yacht and County Club. President Brad Davis welcomed the members and guest. Song leader Todd Williamson lead the singing of America, following the Pledge of Allegiance, Davis offered a prayer of thanks for the meal. Zeno Edwards conducted the Jack of Diamonds drawing, though without a winner this week. President Davis reminded the members of the upcoming membership social to be held at the Club in two weeks.

Program Chairman Sam Grimes introduced the guest speaker, Sherry Gravely, from the Beaufort County Clerk of Courts office, who gave an informative talk about her work and how the public can best be served by planning and preparation prior to end of life. Ms. Gravely emphasized the importance of not only having a will, but reviewing it and if necessary updating it so that last wishes could be carried out with minimal difficulty by family and loved ones.

The meeting concluded with the Rotarians saying the Four Way Test of the things we think, say and do. Pictured are Sam Grimes and Sherry Gravely
