CHOCOWINITY MIDDLE SCHOOL | CONTRIBUTED MASK MAKING: 8th graders in Anna Ramey's art class at Chocowinity Middle School recently studied special effects and Hollywood mask making. The students looked at many examples and then drew out a sketch of a mask they would like to make. They used plaster strips to create a plaster mask of each student’s face, which they will embellish with paper mache, then paint. The masks will be ready just in time for Halloween and will be completely wearable. Pictured, Lana Harper helps Simone Henry put the finishing plaster strips on her mask.
