To the Editor,

As I opened the recent publication “Healthy Living,” published by the Daily News, I was very disappointed that you chose to print the article “GMO’s and cancer potential cause worry.” While I believe people should have a choice in what type of food they wish to consume I also believe they should be “fed” correct information when it comes to food sources. I’m not sure who to specifically address because the article had no source listed, but I feel the public also needs to be aware of all the benefits of biotechnology and how it is helping us feed each other and the world. This technology also helps farmers use less pesticides and helps us to preserve our environment, something we are all interested in. I would simply end with the request that the Washington Daily News be a little more balanced with information that is so important to our future as a society and not simply reprint articles without all the facts.

Thank you,
Shawn Harding
