NORTHEAST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | CONTRIBUTED A GRAND PERFORMANCE: On Nov. 3, students from the Northeast Elementary music program volunteered to entertain guests at the school PTO meeting. Pre-K through fifth-grade students performed a book 'Shake Dem Bones' by rapping the text about fairly tale characters going to a ball and playing drums, woodblock, and shakers. The younger students sang the school song 'Call of the Cougar' (Eye of the Tiger) and played the percussion part for 'We Will Rock You' as some of the sixth through eighth-grade band students performed. The band played 'Funkytown' to close the program.
