WILLIAM “BILLY” ACY ROBERSON SR.

William “Billy” Acy Roberson, Sr., 80 of 2626 Slatestone Road died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in his home.  Mr. Roberson was born on January 6, 1934 to Annie Florence Alligood and Arnold Murray Roberson, Sr.  He served our country as a member of the United States Army and was also a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.  Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his brother Murray Roberson.

Surviving include his wife June Garrett Roberson, his three sons:  William “Bill” Acy Roberson, Jr. and his Hi of Columbia, SC, Troy Dale Roberson and wife Tammy of Washington, NC, and Kelly Roberson and wife Stacey of Washington, NC; his sister Judy Asby and husband Carl of Washington, NC; his brothers:  Terry Roberson and wife Barbara of GA and Rudy Roberson and  special friend Cheryl of Washington, NC, and five grandchildren:  Brad, Dustin, Josh, Noah, and Ana.

A Celebration of Mr. Roberson’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jim Reed officiating.  Friends may send online condolences by visiting www.jimmysawyerfdl.com.  Memorials may be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church, 88 Asbury Church Road, Washington, NC 27889.  Jimmy D.
