Drug bust turns up cannabis oil, marijuana wax

On Jan. 23, 2015, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Philip Zachary Tankard, 34, of 1092 Old Bath Highway in Washington.

Tankard arrest stemmed from investigators executing a search warrant at Tankard’s residence.  Investigators found marijuana, marijuana wax, seven boxes of JuJu Joints that contain 45 percent THC cannabis oil, digital scales, packaging materials and a Ruger M77 25-06 rifle.  Marijuana wax contains 82 percent to 99 percent THC that is extracted from the marijuana plant.  JuJu Joints are Co2 charged and cannabis oil loaded electronic cigarettes that are sold in states where marijuana is legal.

Tankard was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule VI (marijuana THC oil) and possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule VI (marijuana THC wax), maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tankard was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
