KIMBERLY BOYD | TROOP 1016 COOKIE TIME: As many of you know, it's Girl Scout Cookie season. Troop 1016 showed how much they love being Girl Scouts as they celebrated Valentines Day by selling cookies in front of Bath & Body Works in Washington on Feb. 14. Pictured from left to right are Maddie Cannefax, Alexis Jones, Caitlin Lynch, Catherine Lynch and Courtney Boyd. If you have not had a chance to purchase cookies yet, there is still time. Cookie season runs until March 1. Dedicated Girl Scout troops will be in several locations throughout Beaufort County for the next few weekends. If you do not want to purchase cookies, consider making a donation to Operation Cookie Drop. Girls collect donations that go towards providing Girl Scout cookies to our local military bases right here in North Carolina. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this great program.
