NORTHEAST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WEATHER PATTERNS: Second-graders at Northeast Elementary have been studying weather for the past few weeks. They have learned about the different types of storms prevalent to the region and safety tips for each, the water cycle and the different cloud types. To conclude the unit of study, Charlie Ironmonger, a meteorologist with WITN-TV Channel 7, came and talked with them. He did several experiments that showed how clouds form and how low and high pressure systems work within the atmosphere. Pictured are second-grade students from Debbie Arthur’s, Tina Phelps’ and Lucy Crosby’s classes.
