Pinwheels for prevention

BEAUFORT-HYDE PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN FOR PREVENTION: Local leaders, volunteers and early health and education supporters came together for a pinwheel planting ceremony to demonstrate community consensus that prevention of child abuse is up to everyone — part of the nationally celebrated Week of the Young Child. The ceremony took place by the red caboose at the corner of Main and Gladden streets in Washington. Additional pinwheels were also placed throughout the community.
