Andrew “Andy” Boyce Totten, age 70, a resident of Teresa Drive in Washington, passed away on June 12, 2015, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Mr. Totten was born in Glasgow, Scotland on Aug. 8, 1944, to the late Thomas Watson and Margaret Stewart Totten. He attended schools in Glasgow and attended college at the University of Maryland. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He was employed as a sales associate for Farmers Furniture.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Totten, to whom he was married for 38 years; one daughter, Lisa Zimmerman (John), of Havre De Grace, Md.; four sons, Daniel Davis, of Washington, Brian Davis (Selena), of Aurora, Timmy Davis (Tina), of Washington, Andrew S. Totten (Jessica), of Red Lion, Pa.; eight grandsons, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; one sister, Miriam Glinnsman (Henry), of Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews of North Carolina, Maryland, Florida, West Virginia and Scotland; and several half-brothers and family in Scotland.

A celebration of his life with military honors will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015, at Hillside Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Gary C. Lewis. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hillside Funeral Service and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Dr., Greenville, NC 2783.
