Statutory rape suspect arrested in Raleigh

On Dec. 3, 2014, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged sex offense from the Beaufort County Department of Social Services. Investigators conducted interviews and collected evidence. As a result, Investigator Christina Dixon applied for and obtained warrants charging Carlos Lavon Ebron Jr., 29, of Waylon Drive in Chocowinity, with first degree statutory Rape, 11 counts of statutory rape, 12 counts of sexual activity by a substitute parent, and habitual felon. On Jan. 13, 2015, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on Ebron’s location. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s Fugitive Task Force and Raleigh Police Department arrested Ebron at the bus station in Raleigh. Ebron is being held under a $2,000,000 bond.
