From Beaufort County Schools

The Beaufort County Board of Education seeks your assistance. The school system is embarking on the development of a strategic plan to set its “Agenda for Action” for the 2016-2020 school years.

“This endeavor begins a very exciting time for our school district,” according to Dr. Don Phipps, Superintendent of Beaufort County Schools. “The information gleaned from the public will play an important role in the direction our plans take for the next few years.”

To hear from our BCS families and the community, three community meetings have been scheduled across the county.

You are invited to attend a community meeting at one of the following sites:

  • Northside High School on Sept. 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium
  • Washington High School on Sept. 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center
  • Southside High School on Sept. 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium

You will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas for the future of education in Beaufort County. Your suggestions are important and welcomed.

Please come prepared to share how you would like to see the school district address the following: How to improve education in Beaufort County so that all students graduate from high school prepared for work, further education and citizenship.

Your attendance and interaction at one of these meetings is important and would be appreciated.
