The Saturday Night Jamboree met recently at the Redmen’s Lodge in Washington with Russell Jefferson keeping a watchful eye at the door. The band Refuge from the Edge provided entertainment for the Jamboree clients the entire evening. Those band members were: Grayson Schmitt-guitar/vocals, Caleb Petty guitar/vocals, Ty Eborn-guitar, Walton White-drums, Ellie White-keyboard, Sydney Moore-vocals/guitar, Sarah Petty-vocals/tambourine, Jay Petty-bass and Caitlin Cartwright-tech support. Refuge members not present include John Tyler Mackel, Theresa and Rhianna and Tabitha Clipperton

Registrar Carolyn Jefferson registered 134 clients with the help of caring volunteers, Tillie Brady and Joyce Carawan. Other loving volunteers for the evening included Kin Wood, Elwood and Marlene Sprouse, Tine Woolard, Ann, Mallory, Charlotte and Patrick Dunn and Joyce Carawan.

Refreshments were served by members of Second Baptist Church youth and parents after the blessing was asked by John Farmer. Those helping with the serving were Jackie Hoell, who prepared the food, and youth leaders Tina and Jay Perry, Mandie Boahn, Tyler Sosebee, Vanessa Foreman and Ethan Harris.

Marlene Sprouse led the activities and the band Refuge from the Edge led the singing for the September birthdays.
