Chocowinity Primary School is partnering with three other agencies in a child safety initiative.

The school will host a passenger and child safety seat presentation Monday beginning at 6 p.m. The program will feature tips and information about vehicle safety and child seat safety.

Partners in the presentation are Buckle Up For Life, Vidant Health and Toyota, according to CPS organizer Hillary McLawhorn.

Everyone in the community is cordially invited and the entire family is welcome to attend, McLawhorn added

“The presentation will include information for the whole family on how to safely ride in a vehicle, the importance of using a seat belt, how to choose and install the appropriate child safety seat and the dangers of distracted driving,” McLawhorn said. “Anyone who attends the presentation will be eligible for a free child safety seat.”
