Mark T. Hendrix

Mark Timothy Hendrix, 49, of 228 Old Roper Road, Plymouth, died Friday, October 16, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
Mark was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of the late William Edward and Neta Spruill Hendrix. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Waters Hendrix and two sons, Kyle E. Hendrix and Tyler R. Hendrix.
Mark was an alumnus of East Carolina University and a member of the ECU Pirate Athletic Club. He was CEO of The Soundside Group, Inc. Mark held several CISCO and Symantec Certifications as well as an Electrical License. He loved to watch and play the game of basketball. He was an avid Duke fan. He believed in giving of himself to other people. He coached many basketball teams, including Team Elevation, Team Infinite and various recreation teams. He was the chairman of the TCCS Athletic Committee and was the assistant coach for the TCCS Knights Basketball Team.
Mark was a member of the Plymouth Church of the Nazarene. He served on the church board as Building and Grounds Chairman for many years.
Surviving in addition to his wife and sons are three sisters, Melody H. Tucker and husband, Craig of Columbia, Kris H. Worley and husband, Steve of Ft. Pierce, Fl., and Billie H. Council and husband, Ashley of Jamesville, NC. Additional family includes several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Rayse E. Hendrix.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18 at the Plymouth Church of the Nazarene from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 19 at the same location at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Steve Creech officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
