On Oct. 30, Washington (noon) Rotary presented a check to the Zion Shelter and Kitchen. The Zion Shelter is first of many non-profit groups who will benefit from Smoke on the Water festival proceeds. A recent story in the Washington Daily News explained how the shelter was in need of funding to keep their doors open until their regular funding is received in 2016. Washington (noon) Rotarians were quick to act on their urgent need with this contribution. If you would also like to help this worthwhile cause you can do so at gofundme.com/zionshelter. The shelter will immediately receive your donation! For information on the Zion Shelter and Kitchen, please contact Harlan McKendrick at 252-975-1978.
