Mainstreet Collection & Tassels presented five local charities with a $1,000 on Nov. 19. Ruth’s House, Caring Christian Carpenters, Young Lives, Young Life and Bright Futures were selected by Mainstreet Collection for their work in the community.

“Our donation to these organizations is on behalf of all Mainstreet Collection employees. We are a local business and feel that it is important to support the organizations in our community that are making a difference for those in need,” said Tracy Mayo, president and CEO of Mainstreet Collection. The local community has always supported our business and we always look for ways to give back where the needs are the greatest.

The week of Nov. 7- 3, Mainstreet Collection & Tassels held their annual fall warehouse sale. Customers attended the sale from eastern North Carolina and beyond. This sale has become a tradition for shoppers and Mainstreet Collection. Each year, Mainstreet employees select area charities to receive a percentage of sales from the Warehouse Sale proceeds.

Robin McKeithan, assistant director of Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce and Coordinator of Bright Futures Beaufort County said, “Bright Futures is grateful to Mainstreet Collection and for all of our community partners who help us with our mission of meeting students’ basic needs.”

The whimsical world of the Mainstreet Collection came to life with the opening of a retail store in Washington in 1994. Today, Mainstreet Collection has grown into one of the nation’s leaders in the gift industry by providing unique gifts for retailers across the country.

In just a few short years, the Mainstreet Collection has become one of the top wholesalers in the industry with thousands of retailers carrying the MSC line. In 2009, MSC opened corporate showrooms in Atlanta and Dallas and the product line now has over 6,000 items.

Though the company has become one of the most successful and fastest-growing wholesalers in the gift industry; its mission has never changed. MSC remains committed to providing quality products and quick order fulfillment for retailers.
