Lucille Moore Banks Long

Mrs. Lucille Moore Banks Long, 92, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Vidant Hospice Center. A native of Beaufort County, NC, Lucille was a comptroller with Pepsi, a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, and a very active member of Centenary United Methodist Church for most of her life. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Nelson B. Banks and W.B. “Bill” Long, along with her two brothers and six sisters.

The family will receive friends 1:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Pollock-Best Funeral Home, followed by the service at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Susan Pate Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Memorials, in Lucille’s name, may be made to Centenary UMC, 309 New St. New Bern, NC 28560, Sudan Temple 404 E. Lucille is survived by her sister, Hilda Brame, of Washington; nieces, Murrelle Bruder, Elizabeth Ann Moore and Linda Moore; nephews, Tommy Moore, and wife Joan, Tommy Buckman, and wife Melanie, Kent Buckman, and wife Sandra, and George Moore. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Ann Jamison, and husband Bob, of South Carolina; Elaine Duke, and husband Tom, of Virginia; and Jack Banks, and wife Kelly, of Florida.
