TO PROTECT AND SERVE: George Rodman (left), son of Janet and Johnny Rodman of Washington, was recently sworn in as an officer with the New Bern Police Department. Rodman graduated from Pitt Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Academy. Congratulating Rodman is Toussaint Summers, chief of the New Bern Police Department.
