“Growing A Fit Community” program, every Tuesday and Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. 150 Swamp Road, Pantego. SATURDAY, APRIL 16

Hyde County Hotline second annual Race Across the Lake, N.C. Highway 94 and Lake Road, Fairfield. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m. Tickets costs: $25 for ages 15 and up; $15 for ages 10-14; $8 for ages 9 and under.

Riverside Gospel Sing every Saturday at 7 p.m. at Riverside Campgrounds, N.C. Highway 45 North, Ponzer. Admission is free. Includes snack bar with hot dogs, popcorn, candy and drinks. Coastal Pregnancy Center’s chicken dinner plate sale at Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church. Plates are $8 and include half of a barbecue chicken, green beans, potatoes, roll and brownie.
