SAM KAPOI | POLYNESIAN VOYAGING SOCIETY AROUND THE WORLD: A group of sailors on the East Coast leg of a worldwide voyage aboard Hōkūleʻa docked at Belhaven’s Dowry Creek Marina on April 20 and spent the night at Belhaven Water Street Bed and Breakfast. The group, part of the Hawaii-based Polynesian Voyaging Society, is sailing across the world to raise awareness about sustainable living. As of April 24, Hōkūleʻa is docked at Yorktown, Virginia, until May.
