Humanitarian Bowl events set for alums, fans

The Boise State University Alumni Association will once again turn the Alumni Center into H-Bowl headquarters as it hosts several game-day activities for the public for the Crucial.com Humanitarian Bowl. Boise State takes on Iowa State at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Bronco Stadium. ESPN will broadcast the game live. The center is located at 1173 University Dr., across the street from Bronco Stadium.
An Elmer's Pancake Feed will begin at 8 a.m. and run for two hours. Coffee and hot chocolate will be complementary for everyone and cocktails will be available for purchase from TableRock Brewery, the Boise State cheerleaders will be on hand, music will be provided by the Magic 93.1/Sound and Lights Party Machine, and there will be door prizes. Free face painting and spirit signs will be provided by the Student Alumni Association.
At 10 a.m., fans are invited to stay warm and watch the game on the big screen inside the center. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from TableRock and Texas Roadhouse, and Bronco merchandise will also be for sale.
Following the game, a post-game reception will be held until 4 pm. For more information on any of these events, contact the Alumni Center at 426-1698.
