Mrs. Virginia Mae Comstock Davenport Perry, 88, of 108 Latham Ave., Plymouth, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Plymouth Church of Christ with Bob Moulden and Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Scuppernong Church of Christ Cemetery, Creswell.
Mrs. Perry was born in Washington County on July 8, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Milton Louis and Addie Allen Comstock. She was married to Millard Bon Davenport who preceded her in death in 1969. She later married Clifton Whitehead Perry who preceded her in death in 1994. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Plymouth Chapter No. 95. For 10 years, she worked as a nursing assistant at Washington County Hospital. She was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Ladies Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Nyle Davenport of Sarasota, Fla., and Milt Davenport of Bristow, Va.; one daughter, Gloria Davenport Wynn of Plymouth; three stepchildren, Clifton W. Perry Jr. and Bobby Perry, both of New Jersey, and Walter Perry of Arizona; one brother, Jimmy H. Comstock of Indiana; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Willard Bon Davenport; one sister, Onella; and six brothers, Raymond, Hallet, Hilton, Julian, Winifred and Leroy Comstock.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Horner-Walker Funeral Home, Plymouth, and at other times at the home.
