Mrs. Maggie Elizabeth Brown, 83, of 350 Fisher Village Apartments, Aurora, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phenel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Blounts Creek, with Bishop Charles L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in South Creek Cemetery, Aurora.
Mrs. Brown was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 30, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Alice W. Brown. She completed the educational requirements at the community school. She was married to William Edward Brown, who preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1975. She was a member of Saint Kitt AME Zion Church in the South Creek community, where she served in all the auxiliaries.
Survivors include four daughters, Lorenna Williams of New York, N.Y., Tammi Harper and Claretha Michaels, both of Edward, and Alveta Pearl of Norfolk, Va.; one son, Elbert Brown Sr. of Blounts Creek; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home.
