Mr. Thomas C. Hollis Sr., 67, of 102 Country Drive, Williamston, died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Roger Leggett officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hollis was born in Martin County on Sept. 14, 1935. He was the son of Mary Gladys Whitaker Hollis and the late Johnny Hollis. He was married to Viola Perry Hollis, who survives. He was retired as a policeman with the Town of Williamston.
Survivors include five sons, Thomas C. Hollis Jr. of Wanchese and Kevin Barry Hollis, David Adam Hollis, Stephen Christopher Hollis and James Daniel Hollis, all of Williamston; four brothers, William Earl Hollis of Tarboro, Melvin Hollis of Hamilton, James Edward Hollis of Washington and Charlie Irvin "Luke" Hollis of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Louise Roberson of Hamilton, Dorothy Whitehurst of Newport News, Va., and Marietta Roberson of Parmele; 14 grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at First Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at the home.
