Mr. Shelton Ward "Pete" Farmer Sr., 69, of Robersonville, died Saturday, March 8, 2003 in Greenville.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Home in Williamston. Burial will follow in Robersonville Cemetery.
Farmer was born Sept. 28, 1933. He was the son of the late William Harvey Farmer and the late Martha Roberta "Bertha" Thompson Farmer. He was self-employed as a carpenter for years. He was married to Alice Farmer, who survives.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Keel of Raleigh; two sons, Shelton Farmer Jr. of Timmonsville, S.C., and Melvin Farmer of Greenville; two sisters, Martha Bryant of Askewville and Mildred Johnson, also of Askewville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Robert Farmer, and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Farmer.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home and other times at 25839 N.C. Highway 903, Robersonville.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
