Mrs. Alice Williams Mercer, age 54, of 109 Edgewater Beach Road, Washington, N.C., died Tuesday, March 11, 2003.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. from the Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, N.C. by the Rev. Bruce Jones.
Mrs. Mercer was the former owner/operator of Farmville Hardware. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rep. Linwood Eborn Mercer, and her parents, Samuel Hodges Williams Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Williams.
She is survived by three daughters, Sarah Mercer Massey and husband, Eric, of Farmville; Nancy Mercer Ayers and husband, Russ, of Williamston; and Becky Mercer of Timberlake; three grandchildren, Clayton Massey, Lyndan Massey and Thomas Ayers; two sisters, Martha Ann Murray of Winston-Salem and Nina Mustard of Williamsburg, Va.
The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home, Thursday evening from 7 until 9 p.m.
