Mrs. Edna M. Williams Anderson, 57, of Vanceboro died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in West Vanceboro Church of God. Burial will follow in Haw Branch Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Beaufort County and spent her youth in the Wilmar community. She was a graduate of Chocowinity High School. She attended cosmetology school in Washington and also attended Craven Community College. She was married to Bill Anderson, who survives. She was a member of West Vanceboro Church of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Billie Jo Smyer of Vanceboro; one grandchild; one brother, Willis Ray Williams of Wilmar; and three sisters, Freda W. Whichard, Brenda W. Elks and Anita W. Edwards, all of Wilmar.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at West Vanceboro Church of God and at other times at the home of her daughter, 740 Nelson Road, Vanceboro.
