Mr. Hallie "Junior" Holloway Jr., 64, of 731 W. Third St., Washington, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Temple of Jesus Christ United Church, Washington, with Bishop Lillie Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mr. Holloway was born in Beaufort County on Sept. 2, 1938. He was the son of the late Sallie Moore Holloway and Hallie Holloway Sr. He attended the Beaufort County schools. In 1961, he married Debra Virginia Cooper Holloway, who survives. He was owner and operator of Holloway's Garage for more than 41 years. He was a member of Burning Bush Pentecostal Holiness Church, Stokes, where he served as a deacon and senior usher.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Ruth Moore of Blounts Creek and Deborah Yvonne Holloway of New Brunswick, N.J.; four sons, Anthony Earl Holloway, Matthew Holloway, Hallie Holloway III and Rufus Darnell Holloway, all of Washington; two sisters, Mary Harris and Sally Mobley, both of Chocowinity; three brothers, Lester Ray Holloway of Chocowinity, Elijah Holloway of Somerset, N.J., and Frank Holloway of New Brunswick, N.J.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the chapel of Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington, and at other times at the home of his son, Hallie Holloway III, 439 Clayton Circle, Clarks Neck Road, Washington.
