Mrs. Genevieve Joan Tonn-Humiencki, of Mariners Drive, Roper, died Friday, March 14, 2003 at her home.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a date to be announced.
Mrs. Tonn-Humiencki was born in Jersey City, N.J., daughter of the late Gustav and Ann Grundl Tonn. She graduated from Monmouth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Long Branch, N.J., in 1955. In 1956, she entered the Army as a registered nurse, retiring as a major in 1969. She went to work as a civilian nurse at Paterson Army Hospital at Fort Monmouth, N.J., until she retired.
Mrs. Humiencki is survived by her husband, Stanley J. Humiencki.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, McConnell-Raab Hope Lodge, Greenville, NC 28734.
