West Craven beats New Bern

WEST CRAVEN -- A big seven-run sixth inning helped lead West Craven to a 9-4 win over New Bern on Wednesday.
Chris Brownell knocked in two runs with a hit in the big inning. Kevin Berryman, who hit a solo home run in the fourth, doubled in the sixth.
The Eagles (3-3) play host to Havelock on Friday.

Bullets down Redskins
ROANOKE -- Steven Roberson collected two hits and drove in two runs during Jamesville's eight-run sixth inning, helping lead the Bullets to a 14-11 non-conference win over Roanoke on Tuesday.
Roanoke came back with five runs in the bottom half, but it wasn't enough.
Jamesville (2-2) and Roanoke meet again today, this time in Jamesville.

Bath softball falls to Jamesville
JAMESVILLE -- The Bath middle school softball team suffered a 20-10 setback to Jamesville on Tuesday.
Meredith Duke hit a two-run homer for Bath (0-2). Casey Alligood, Kendall Cox and Sloan Smith also had hits.
Bath travels to Mattamuskeet on Monday.
Demons notch another win
The P.S. Jones soccer team picked up its fifth win of the season with a 6-1 nod over Beaufort on Wednesday.
Kyle Cochran and Zack Ware had two goals apiece, while Brian Rowe and Andrew McCoy each had one. It was the first goals for all the players.
