Mrs. Lucille Fluker Boyd, 89, of 918 Pamlico St., Belhaven, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Antioch Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) Church, Pantego, with vice bishop Melvin Scott officiating. A private burial will follow in Broad Creek Cemetery, Pantego.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Vidalia, Ga., on Oct. 12, 1913. She was the daughter of the late James Fluker Sr. and Winnie Wiggins Fluker. She was retired from the Laughinghouse family. She was a member of the Senior Center Program in Belhaven and the Broad Creek Community Club. She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) Church, Pantego, where she formerly served as an usher and choir member.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Boyd-Williams of Belhaven and Theresa Coles of Winston-Salem; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
