Ms. Zuline Basnight, 53, of 923 Railroad St., Columbia, died Friday, March 21, 2003, at Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Salem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James H. Rodger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Basnight was born in Tyrrell County on Nov. 22, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Fannie S. and Vannie Basnight. She was employed as a housekeeper at a motel. She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Columbia.
Survivors include two sons, James L. Basnight and Barry Basnight, both of Columbia; two daughters, Shalmeta Basnight and Pamela Spruill, both of Columbia; six brothers, Isiah Basnight and Vannie Basnight, both of Columbia; Sinclair Basnight and Lawrence Basnight, both of New York; Fred Basnight of South Carolina and Arthor Basnight of Havelock; one sister, Emma Spencer of Columbia; and 14 grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia.
