Mrs. Eula Boyd White, age 82, a resident of 208 Iron Creek Drive, Washington, N.C., died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at the Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Paul Funeral Home in Washington conducted by the Rev. Michael Isbell. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. Marty Alligood, Colton Boyd, Mitchell Warren, Mitchell Whitley, Bobby Woolard and Donnie Woolard will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. White was born in Beaufort County to the late John Owen Boyd and Martha Elizabeth Boyd on Feb. 22, 1921. She was a graduate of Bath High School. On April 1, 1931, she married Heber B. Congleton, who preceded her in death. She married Lynn Dale White on Dec. 16, 1972. Mrs. White was a retired dental assistant and a member of the Proctor Memorial Christian Church in Grimesland.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Lynn Dale White of the home; three sons, Larry W. Congleton of Hampstead and Dallas C. Congleton and wife Dee, and Tony L. Congleton and wife Viki, all of Washington; two sisters, Kathleen Boyd Alligood and Helen Boyd Alligood, both of Washington; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today, March 28, 2003, at the Paul Funeral Home of Washington and at other times at the home located at 208 Iron Creek Drive, Washington.
