Costly support

There is no question about the all-out support of British Prime Minister Tony Blair when it comes to the Iraq question.
Mr. Blair has stood up straight and he has not wavered in his support of the USA position.
He is giving all-out support to Uncle Sam while back in England his political enemies are seeing the opportunity to rid the country of him as prime minister.
He is having a hard time explaining Britain's position to the House of Commons, and some extremely rough questions have been thrown at him. He has stood his ground to date, knowing all the while that his position could well mean defeat at the polls. Those members of the House of Commons play this game of politics for keeps. There is no gray involved there. It is either black or white.
