Mr. Larry Brinn Chauncey, 70, of 3377 U.S. Highway 17 South, Chocowinity, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Richard Sheriff officiating.
Mr. Chauncey was born Sept. 30, 1936, the son of Ethel Baker Chauncey of Washington and the late Samuel Hedrick Chauncey. On April 9, 1978, he married Kathy Lynn Powers, who survives. He was a welder and was employed by Buddy’s Garage.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Marie Chauncey Stokesberry of Chocowinity, and Jeannie Chauncey Hall of Whaleyville, Va.; one sister, Joyce Ann Seavey of Washington; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Dean Chauncey and one grandson, Nickolas Ray Stokesberry.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Washington, and other times at the home.
