Mrs. Callie Virginia Boyd Braddy, age 84, a resident of 3179 Respess Road, Pinetown, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Ridgewood Manor in Washington.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Five Points Free Will Baptist Church, Highway 32, Pinetown, conducted by Pastor Tom Lilley and Pastor Gene Gilbert. Burial will follow in Oakdale cemetery, Washington.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Mark Boyd, Paul Boyd, Dan Boyd, Rufus Boyd, Steve Braddy and Donnie Braddy.
Mrs. Braddy was born in Beaufort County on April 10, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Thaddeus Boyd and Eva Oressa Latham Boyd. Mrs. Braddy was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Five Points Free Will Baptist Church.
On January 5, 1940, she married Elijah Abnor Braddy, who preceded her in death September 26, 2003.
Survivors include her two sons, Swindell Braddy and his wife, Tillie of Washington, Billy Braddy of Pinetown; her daughter, Kathy B. Adams and her husband, Kenneth of New Bern; six grandchildren, Cecilia, Kim, Cindy, Steven, Daphne and Kim; 13 great grandchildren, Jordy, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Zach, Zoe, Jay, Christina, Merry, Elijah, Taylor, Tanner, Laynie and Niyah; three sisters, Mary Whitley, Lucy Sullivan, Marcia Hamilton and five brothers, Paul, Dan, Mark, Rufus and Thad Boyd, Jr.
In addition to the husband and parents, Mrs. Braddy was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Michael Bryan and three sisters, Annie Myrtle Winstead, Blanche Congleton and Lula Mae Woolard.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington and other times at her home, 3179 Respess Road, Pinetown.
